Pregnancy, birth and the early weeks with a new baby can be a beautiful and deeply transformative time. Yet for many families, this period can also bring unexpected challenges and sometimes the extra support that would make a real difference simply isn’t accessible.

I know that some parents may be navigating additional circumstances such as a lack of local support, mental or physical health challenges, learning disabilities, parenting alone or financial hardship. These challenges can make it harder to access the care, reassurance and practical support that every parent deserves.

Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous community donation, I’m able to offer funded doula support to families in Norfolk who may not otherwise be able to access this care. The aim of this fund is to support parents facing additional barriers, helping to ensure that no one has to move through pregnancy, birth or the early days with their baby feeling alone.

My doula packages are designed to nurture families as they begin life with their newborn, to leave them feeling confident, informed and whole-heartedly supported along the way.

This is a collective support fund built through donations from our local community. The aim is to make compassionate, supportive doula care more accessible in Norfolk and to ensure more families receive the support they deserve during pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period.

How does the fund work?

Donations are pooled together to create financial support for birth or postnatal doula care. The support will be provided by Rachel from Nestled Doula Support.

Individuals can apply or be referred for support and if funding is available, a portion or the full cost of the requested support may be covered by the fund.

Because the fund relies on community contributions, the amount of support available may vary over time. The intention is to distribute the funds as fairly and thoughtfully as possible so that more families can access meaningful support.

Who can apply?

This fund is available to families or individuals in Norfolk who would benefit from additional birth or postnatal support. This might include families experiencing:
